Being a WAHM (work-at-home mom) can be really challenging. On the one had, you get to spend your entire day with your kid but on the other hand, it can take its toll on your finances, especially for single parents like myself.
There are several ways to make your lives easier. Working online (which I have been doing for 5 years now), taking on freelance projects, and setting up a business are just some of them but, like in every job available, there are several tasks that you need to accomplish. If you're new to being a WAHM, it can get quite confusing: how do you start, where do you start, what do you want to accomplish. Good news is there are a lot of people who are willing to help us with this.
Manila Workshops is one of those organizations who are willing to lend a helping hand to those who seek to reach their full potentials. They've launched the WAHMderful Workshop Series to help both you and I with working from home:

Virtual Assistant coach and business owner Marge Aberasturi, "The Happy WAHM", will show you how easy it is to help you with your virtual assistant business. Her 8 years of experience of working in the industry will sure to enlighten you one what you must do to succeed in this field.
Real Ways to Be a WAHM: Set Up Your Virtual Assistant Business for Success will be held on Saturday, Feb 28, 2015 from 10AM to 5PM at the Ortigas Foundation Library, Meralco Avenue (building beside McDonalds). I've been a WAHM for 5 years already, but I still hope to attend one of these series. Unfortunately, aside from being extremely busy with work, we are currently yaya-less so I limit out-of-the-house activities.
ReplyDeletePag walang yaya, limited talaga ang activities, right? But personally, I wouldn't have it any other way. :)
DeleteIf I'm a WAHM, I will definitely consider this workshop. :)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds great! :)
DeleteI hope I can raise funds for this workshop ASAP :D
ReplyDeleteYou and I both, sister. :p
DeleteI have been meaning to attend one of their workshops. I hope this year I can now give time for this. Crossing my fingers!
ReplyDeleteMe too! Keeping my fingers crossed! :)
DeleteI guess WAHM or WAH is the trend nowadays. You can just rent a co-working space for meetings and such.
ReplyDeleteIt's easier that way kasi and you get to balance everything else better. :)
DeleteI would love to be a WAHM but sa ngayon hindi talaga kaya ng powers namin ng asawa ko. But would be great so I could atleast check out my options.
ReplyDeleteThat's right, Mommy!
DeleteWAHM makes me want to be with the family more and still gets to do what I love to do!
ReplyDeleteCorrect! :)
DeleteI'm a WAHM and this is very interesting. I will see if I can attend as I'm on a tight budget at this time. hehe.
ReplyDeleteIf you do, kindly use the referrer code indicated at the end of the post. Thank you! :)
DeleteI have been a WAHM for 3 years and I really really want to attend this workshop (also homeschooling workshops and the like!). Unfortunately, there seems to be no option for those living outside GMA.
ReplyDeleteThat is a problem. Most organizers kasi sa Manila lang nagpapaworkshop ng mga ganyan. :| Hopefully, magdala naman sila ng workshops to other parts of the Philippines or maybe they can conduct them online?
DeleteI attended one of WAHM workshop with Ms. Martine De Luna last year it's a nice workshop you can learn a lot.
ReplyDeleteWow! Good for you, mommy! :)
DeleteBeing a WAHM has been the best decision I've made for my family. I've actually guested in a previous workshop and it was great!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds great, mommy! I've chosen that path too. Mej mahirap lang ipaintindi sa maraming tao but I would love to think that it's the right decision for my daughter, too. :)
DeleteNice workshops for WAHMs! Hope there are for working moms too! :)
ReplyDeleteThere might be one in the next months. :)
DeleteI would of loved to join this, however I really don't have the time to do so. :(
ReplyDeleteThat's too bad. Maybe the next workshop? :)
DeleteHad been a WAHM for 6 years. Would love to attend workshops to increase my skills. The more you know, the more you become viable online.
