Brianna got 3 My Little Pony: Equestria Girls dolls last Christmas and two of them were from me. She loves My Little Pony so much, as we've all established here, so I thought that getting her the Equestria Girls dolls would freak her out - in a good way - and it did! She can't stop carrying them everywhere we go.
To be quite honest, I found these dolls cute so when she requested for these, I didn't flinch one bit. Hehe.
The dolls are a lot smaller than Barbie and a lot thinner. I think they're made of hard plastic like those mean girls in the greatest chick flick ever made. Their skins are the same colors of their pony counterparts and they have pony ears on top of their heads so they kinda look weird in a way. They also have their cutie marks tattooed on their faces. All of them have lapel microphones on their heads which you can remove and put on the other dolls.
The first two dolls right here have rubber tops and shiny skirts while the last doll has one huge puffy dress:
All of them have lapel mics and shoes made of the same material as the tops. Best of all, you can mix and match the parts - which is Brianna's favorite part:
Here are what the dolls look like wearing clothes different from their own:
I love Pinkie Pie wearing Twilight Sparkle's dress! Okay, I might be biased because I love the Pinkie Pie doll itself.
Brianna has 3 dolls now and she's requesting to get the 3 remaining dolls - Applejack, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash - on her birthday...which is in February. Haha! Gusto talaga niya kumpletuhin.
All in all, I love these dolls. They're so much lighter than Barbie dolls so carrying all of them in my purse is not a big deal and this is probably better than the mix and match thing. At the rate Brianna's going, I might have to carry all 6 dolls all the time once she completes them.

Twilight Sparkle's dress is so big! My daughter also likes MLP. She wanted to buy Equestria girls na, but I said she has to complete her first collection first, which is the main 6 of the ponies not yet in human form.
ReplyDeleteOh. That's a good deal between you and your daughter. Brianna has the complete set of ponies from McDonald's Happy Meal, wala lang si Applejack which is quite hard to find kasi sa States lang nirelease. :)
Deleteoh wow i'm not sure if my baby would love it, although she is a barbie fan... how much does it cost?
ReplyDeleteShe might love them, but these girls aren't really "girly" like Barbie. The first 2 dolls cost Php899 each in Toy Kingdom while the last one costs Php1499 kasi part siya ng ibang line ng dolls. :)
DeleteI can see she loves it. Nice little dollies.
ReplyDeleteShe does! :) And the dolls are nice, even for someone like me who doesn't really like dolls. :)
DeleteWhen I was a kid, I only have Barbie. Nowadays, ang dami na choices.
ReplyDeleteMe too! Ngayon iba-iba na talaga, even the dollhouses!
DeleteVery cute! I thought My Little Pony only had ponies in its line; I wouldn't know because my child's a boy kasi hehe
ReplyDeleteYes, they have a "people version" of the ponies. :)
DeleteI have seen this brand but didn't pay too much attention to it since my girls prefer Barbie more :) I'll show this to them and see if they will like it :)
ReplyDeleteMy daughter naman prefers this brand over Barbie, kahit anong pilit ko. Hihi.
DeleteThere are so many toys right now, when I was a kid I only have barbie :-) mgayun ang daming choices na
ReplyDeleteDolls! Almost all my inaanaks are boys so I roamed around the boy's section of the toy store when we were shopping for Christmas presents. Btw, why do they have lapels? Just curious. Hehe
ReplyDeleteDaan sa sa girls' toys every once in a while. Hihi. They have lapels because they're bandmates in one of the My Little Pony movies. :)
