Anyway, I just hope that there's a ticketing company here in the Philippines like Rukkus. Rukkus is a live entertainment search engine and marketplace that has the cheapest tickets to concert, sports, and theater events in the United States. They scout for the whole web and their network of private brokers to give their customers the tickets at the cheapest prices.
What's cooler about Rukkus is that they are the only website where you can see the view of the ticket seat you're buying so you can make that crucial decision in choosing the best seat in the house for you.
(To be quite honest, now that I've put it out there, it's going to be a challenge for Philippine ticketing companies to adopt this kind of system to the Philippine concert scene.)
Rukkus will be holding a giveaway for those who are living in the US or those who are traveling there. They will be giving away $250 worth of concert, sports, and theater tickets. If only Ne-Yo's Concert of Dreams tickets were available with Rukkus, I would no doubt join this giveaway.
For those who are interested to join this Rukkus giveaway, here are the mechanics:
- Write a haiku about your favorite concert, sports, or theater event you’ve attended and send it to giveaway@rukkus.com (+1 entry)
- Tweet “I just entered to win $250 in event tickets from rukkus.com #jointherukkus” (+1 entry)
- Tag us on Instagram at a concert, sports, or theater event with the hashtag @jointherukkus #jointherukkus (+1 entry)
Their giveaway will officially open on February 2 (US) and will end on February 16th (US) so if you've been planning to watch a game, a show, and a concert, write those haikus and update your Twitter and Instagram pages now!
For more information about this giveaway, you can visit their website at http://rukkus.com. Their Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Google+ pages can help you out, too! You can also download their app; they're available at the App Store and on Google Play.
Didn't know that Ne-yo's here too! Damn! :) Anyway, I'd love to try Rukkus!! It's been a long time since I watched a live concert! :)
ReplyDeleteThey didn't advertise it that much kasi it's not part of the tour. Sa opening lang ng City of Dreams. :|
DeleteI didn't know Ne-Yo is coming! Lol. I'm a huge fan of Michael Buble and I didn't know he was here until the day of his concert. I'll bookmark Rukkus. :)
ReplyDeleteHaha! Sometimes we all get too caught up in the mommy thing, we're ignorant of what's happening outside, right? :P
DeleteI can't remember the last time I watched a live concert. This is nice giveaway for US residents.
ReplyDeleteIt is! I really hope that Rukkus enters our market para magkacompetition naman yung mga ticketing companies dito, para bumaba ang rates. Hehe. :))
Deletewe need this nga!!!
ReplyDeleteSuper! :|
DeleteThere are so many cool things in the US, like this rukkus.com, that us in the Philippines are missing out on! Maybe madaming red tape!
ReplyDeleteMaybe. So frustrating, right?
DeleteI knew that Ne-Yo's here cause I saw a photo of him in SM Moa kanina lang haha..Anyways we totally need this for concerts and Theater! Yung part na nakikita mo kung alin yung seat na kukunin mo... I hope that it can be done.. kaso parang malabo? hahaha
ReplyDeleteI agree! It's kinda hard to just imagine it, lalo if the seat plan posted just looks like a flow chart.
DeleteIt's been quite a while since I watched a concert, we need to have something like this here, hehe. Ne-yo is having a concert here? Grabe I am living in a shell talaga.. Thanks for sharing this.
ReplyDeleteThat makes the two of us! :|
DeleteI went to Neyo's concerts here in Manila. I'm such a fan too. Sayang. Bakit hindi ako na-inform? Haha! Nako. I've been having issues with SM Tickets. Napaka-hassle nila :(
ReplyDeleteMe too! Kaya super sad ako when I learned about it lately lang! :(( And I haven't booked with SM Tickets yet. What happened, Mommy Ayi? :)
DeleteI think no one knew about Ne-Yo coming; na-shock lang din ako when the news came out haha. Anyway, yes, we need this kind of system, too!
ReplyDeleteThe last time that I watched live concert was way back 2007 pa I am not aware now a days if sino may concert unless I saw it in the news and ads. Hope there is Rukkus in our country :-)
ReplyDeleteRukkus has a nice concept. We really need something like this here in the Philippines.
ReplyDeleteFirst time I've heard of Rukkus! Ihope they come up with something like it here.
ReplyDeleteOne of the big concert producers is our family friend. So we just get tickets to concerts. The thing is we can't choose and we can't expect. There are tickets that come or do not come. And you won't know till the DAY of the concert! :o
ReplyDeleteSounds ideal. Will check it out. Too bad I'm not traveling to the US any time soon.
